Music - Winter 1999

This class is a performing music ensemble made up of women from across the campus who love to sing. Music majors as well as students from all other disciplines have participated in the past.

Some knowledge of music notation is preferred; a brief audition determines placement in the group. Auditions will be held Monday, March 29 in the Music Center Rm. 145. Please check the Ensemble Bulletin Board across from the Women's restroom on the lower floor of the Music Center to sign up for an audition time. No need to prepare a solo. The audition will consist of brief vocalizing and simple sight reading.

On May 22, the Women's Chorale will present a concert of contemporary music by American and British composers in the new Recital Hall at UCSC.

This class is a mixed-voice vocal ensemble which presents concerts every quarter, sometimes combined with the University orchestra. Music majors as well as students from all other disciplines are encouraged to audition. Male voices are needed in particular.
