[KRSG-120E-01] Kresge 120E: Discourses in the Social Sciences Instructor: Roger Bunch This upper division course focuses on writing in the social sciences (the majors of Anthropology, Community Studies, Economics, Education, Environmental Studies, Latino and Latin American Studies, Politics, Psychology and Sociology). Through critical engagement of standard and representative works in those majors, we will explore the fundamental vocabulary, discourses, themes, and concerns of the social sciences today. Students will practice academic writing, from generating topics to proofreading, and write a final paper which may be in conjunction with an assignment from a course in the student's own discipline. Enrollment limited to 12.
