1. Instruction in the Hebrew Language. F
Speaking, listening comprehension, reading, and writing
fundamentals. The use of Modern Hebrew is encouraged through classroom practice
supplemented by language laboratory work. Elementary sequence (1-2-3) begins in

Introduces students to the basic lexicon and grammatical
structures of biblical Hebrew, with an emphasis on the development of a set of
useful translation strategies. Throughout the course, students will be applying
their emergent skills to translating a variety of biblical texts. (General
